Where do I work?............  I work in Kew

 

How long have I worked in Mental Health?............ 12 Years

 

Mental Health Experience............ I have worked in private and public P-12 schools as a school psychologist, for government disabilities services providing state-wide autism and developmental disability assessment and treatment, and in private practice.

 

Who do I treat?............ Children (3 years+), adolescents, and adults

 

Areas of expertise............ My core work is with young people and their families around issues including: parenting, living well with disability, challenging behaviours, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, grief and loss, social skills development, and coping with parental separation or conflict. I also work with adults with issues around sex and sexuality, personality disorders, trauma recovery and depression and anxiety. 

 

My therapy style............ I use a gentle, collaborative approach, taking care to match treatment to my client's individual story and therapeutic needs. I use a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework, incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Mindfulness and Relaxation Training. I am also able to prvide EMDR treatment for PTSD. All therapies are evidence-based.
